JOH Construction is a specialist property construction company that specializes in one off homes for the up market clientele. At JOH we pride ourselves in being a complete “hands on” team that handles every conceivable aspect of building a home for its clients and catering for their specific needs.
JOH Construction is owned by Mr. Hardy Botes and managed by Sandra Margaritis and Nico Loggenberg.
Hardy Botes ensures that JOH takes on the right amount of work and the right clientele. Hardy strives to ensure that all his clients get the best service possible and that the transition of building is as smooth as possible to ensure that no client would ever reconsider not building a home to their requirements and satisfaction. Hardy believes in word of mouth over any marketing strategy and therefore strives for complete customer satisfaction. Hardy has a National Higher Diploma in Civil Engineering and has strong financial and management skills gained from a 20 year background in the construction industry.
The company has a strong track record in the large size contracts with a specialty for complex structures, with a staff component of dedicated and multi disciplined members. It was established in 1993 and has survived the tough economic slumps over the last few years.
Detail is paid to the client’s requirements with strong emphasis on budget controls and the completion of the contract in its initiate. Attention to detail and punctuality are considered of prime importance and all construction requirements are dealt with in a professional manner and punctually.
As the management of JOH has a strong structural background, the emphasis has shifted to the construction of the “basic shell” portion of a home, thus allowing the finishing to be undertaken by the experts. This then gives the client greater scope of the potential for further savings. The policy of “allowing us to do what we do best” has proven a winning formula for us and our most valued clients.
We are members of both the Gauteng Master Builders (reg no. 3965) as well as the NHBRC (reg no. 10739).
Hardy has employed Sandra Margaritis and Nico Loggenberg as his contracts managers over his construction and development sites. Where Nico specializes in building of homes and quality control, e.g. specifications of building plans and dimensions, Sandra specializes in legal documentation, client satisfaction and sub contractor control. Together they are an unstoppable team and only achieve the best results possible.
JOH Construction has a solid workforce of over 75 staff members excluding all sub contractors.
JOH strives to do as much of the work in-house as possible but only sub contracts specialized work to specialized sub contractors with the correct documentation and reputation.
Mrs. Pat Victor heads our accounting department with Miss Nicola Verster. A proper accounting system has been invoked into our company to ensure that all systems run smoothly and effortlessly.
Hardy also has a sister company that deals with all demolishing and rubble removal as well as materials delivery which include sand and stone.
JOH takes out the hassle and irritation associated with building by offering the following services:
- Designing the home to suit personal and stand requirements with in house architects (subject to the client using their own architect)
- Town Planning Services covering all council related applications, submissions, contributions etc
- Consultation with banking representatives for the registration of building bonds to prevent often associated shortfalls and preferential interest rates
- Assistance from in house architects in finishing homes to personal satisfaction (subject to the client using their own architect)
- The sourcing of any conceivable finish through reliable supplier network at lowest possible prices
- All construction work carried out by JOH construction
